"Roaring, powerful new musical"
Roaring, powerful new musical (★★★★)

"The Triangle story and its aftermath (increased fervour amongst unionists and suffragettes ultimately led to changes in legislation) is one well worth telling. But more than that, this is a great piece of musical theatre. Mostly sung, with the odd bit of spoken word, the talented cast comes together beautifully with soaring harmonies and clever musical arrangements."

"You may think this is quite a heavy production to be seeing at breakfast time but I felt totally engaged with the subject matter as we are transported back through time thanks to innovative projections, clever chorography and tight direction from Cecillia Rubino."

A production which will live long in the memory. (★★★★)

"Regularly brings audiences to their feet in ovations."

Called the "blueprint for the modern American oratorio," by 60 Minutes, From the Fire is a new work created by the Tony nominated composer, Elizabeth Swados, writer/director, Cecilia Rubino, the poet, Paula Finn, and produced and set designed by Bonnie Roche-Bronfman.

From the Fire ran for a week in March 2011 to sold-out audiences during the week of the Triangle Centennial commemorations. This world-premiere run of performances took place at the historic Judson Memorial Church in New York's Greenwhich Village, just a few blocks away from the actual Asch Building, where the Triangle Factory was located in.
